Overview
Nothing more in line with being a duelist than having an ability that literally forces someone to duel you (though you should enter it with an advantage). Iso is a bit of a unique duelist in that he’ll enter site for you, but not in the typically gungho fashion some of the more mobile duelists do. He’s great at finding the first pick if he’s able to land his ultimate, though there is admittedly a lot of pressure on you to win the fight.
Role: Duelist
Duelists are the primary entry agent for your team.
On defense, they look to hold early angles opponents might peek from to get information, or they may work with your team’s initiators to make aggressive plays on defense. They also are the ones most likely to push through an opening to find a flank.
On attack, they are expected to be the first person to break an angle. Many duelists come equipped with tools that enable this, which means duelists are usually the agents who will see the most gun fights throughout the course of a game.
Tips and Tricks
Contingency [C] is used to block off one angle on site so you can fight the other, which you can use Undercut [Q] on to disable their abilities before the fight.
Double Tap [E] is what allows you to swing into open angles with impunity -- you always want to push forward if you have it up and then continue to snowball forward if you’re able to get kills.
You also want to use Double Tap [E] before entering your Kill Contract [R].
Kill Contract [R] is best used after you’ve confirmed enemy positioning -- typically with help from an initiator.
In general, Iso is a champion that greatly rewards good aim as his Double Tap [E] is reminiscent of aim trainers that have you shooting little dots on the screen.
