Overview
After many updates to her kit, the latest visual update for LeBlanc retains her core identity as a mage assassin with a ton of mobility and trickery. She’s a champion that can dash right at an opponent, delete them, and then blink back to safety before they’re even aware of what happened. Keys to Remember About LeBlanc
Just because your Distortion [W] does damage doesn't mean you have to jump right on top of enemy carries. Sometimes it's enough to just get close to them an then pop Sigil of Malice [Q] into Mimic [R] and then end with Ethereal Chains [E] to get the procs. This is much safer as you'll have an easier time retreating.
LeBlanc needs farm like any other champion, but her assassin style can bait people into over roaming and missing out on waves in hopes of fishing for a kill. In general you want to clear your wave before moving around the map!
Strengths
LeBlanc is an extremely mobile champion thanks to Distortion [W] and Mimic [R] -- the ability to dash forward and then blink back on two separate (but same) abilities can make it really difficult to lock her down, especially for champions that are reliant on hitting skill shots. If she lands an Ethereal Chains [E], it’s going to instantly open up the possibility of an all-in and threaten to kill all but the tankiest of champions. Distortion [W] also doubles as good wave clear, which allows you to find plenty of timings for roams as long as you don’t fall behind. It’s difficult for opponents to step too far forward into you lest they eat a Sigil of Malice [Q] + Mimic [R] combo that chunks them into all-in range for her.
Weaknesses
Mimic [R] can be a difficult ability to master since it creates a second proc on all of your abilities, which means knowing which ability to duplicate can be the difference between life and death. Your wave clear also puts you at risk of a trade, and because it’s your getaway button, it can often be a signal for enemies to jump in on you. Where she blinks back to is telegraphed, and while the number of places she can go can increase, the exact spots she will be at will be known to all. And if you fall behind early, you lack damage and will find it difficult to make a significant impact in fights.
Game Plan
Early Game: Once your abilities are online, you can constantly look to proc a Q + W combo onto opponents, and if they overstay their welcome, you just need to land one Ethereal Chain [E] to gain a big trade advantage.
Mid Game: You should constantly be roaming for kills -- the easiest place is to clear vision in the opposing jungle and wait for a squishy champion to rotate into you.
Late Game: It’ll be hard to run straight at opponents, so if you’re forced into a front-to-back, it will be good to use your chains to try to help your team secure chip damage on enemy front liners. Otherwise, you’ll need to approach from flanks and fog of war to be able to find squishy enemies.
