Reyna VALORANT Guide

Reyna VALORANT Guide

Overview

Reyna is the premier agent for smurfs for a reason -- her kit offers insane carry potential thanks to being able to heal herself (as long as she gets a kill). She rewards players for peeking aggressively and confidently, which means that it sometimes backfires if she keeps on losing fights, but the second you see your Reyna second guess herself, you already know she’s out of the game.

Role: Duelist

Duelists are the primary entry agent for your team.

On defense, they look to hold early angles opponents might peek from to get information, or they may work with your team’s initiators to make aggressive plays on defense. They also are the ones most likely to push through an opening to find a flank.

On attack, they are expected to be the first person to break an angle. Many duelists come equipped with tools that enable this, which means duelists are usually the agents who will see the most gun fights throughout the course of a game.

Tips and Tricks

  • Empress [X] is one of the most terrifying abilities in the game and is one of the major catalysts for securing multi-kill rounds. It allows Reyna to dismiss and heal simultaneously while also adding a layer of invisibility to her, which makes it very easy for her to reposition to take another favorable fight.

  • You want to use Leer [C] as you enter sites, but enemies will be ready for it so you want to make sure you are throwing it either high into the sky or right at the ground to force opponents to adjust their crosshair from their default position. Even if they shoot your eye instantly, you’ll have a small window when they are readjusting their aim.

  • There’s a little bit of time between killing an opponent and their Soul Orb disappearing, so you don’t have to do anything with it right away. One trick is to instantly re-peek an angle and then Dismiss [E] towards safety if the situation is dangerous.

  • Unlike many Duelists, Reyna is not the greatest at being the first person to break an angle. She has to throw out a Leer [C] and then just run on, but that’s easily stuffed by most Sentinel abilities. She’s typically stronger as a secondary entry or as a lurker for your team.
