Senna Build Guide

Senna

Senna

the Redeemer

Overview

One of the most oppressive champions when she’s in meta, Senna boasts an extremely long attack range that can enable her to provide carry levels of damage in the late game. She also brings great utility to the table and is a great pick for support players who often find themselves thinking they should be able to do everything themselves. Keys to Remember About Senna

  1. Senna is often one of the top damage dealers on her team and should be played more like a carry -- this means you'll want to avoid picking her in situations where your entire team is looking to play carries.
  2. The global range on your ult means you can support cross-map plays as early as level 6, and you'll want to take advantage of that to help flip close jungle ganks or skirmishes in your favor.

Strengths

With really great range, she excels at poking out teams come late game while also being able to sustain yours. This means you’ll be great at sieging down towers or in standoffs before objectives. Combined with her ability to root, she’s a threat that enemies cannot easily stand in front of, which means they will try to engage on her, but Dawning Shadow is one of the best counter-engage tools in the game. If Senna is able to get out to an early lead, it’s going to be a difficult game for opponents.

Weaknesses

She lacks a dash, which makes her susceptible to flanks and enemies who are able to dive directly onto her to nullify the range advantage. And because she often builds and plays more like a carry, your team may be in the weird middle ground of not having a support who can start fights or super enchanter who can deny fights.

Game Plan

  1. Early Game: You can win a lot of trades early just with auto-attacks and a proper Piercing Darkness. You’ll want more of a hit and run style as all-ins can be very dangerous even if you’ve managed to secure a bit of a health lead.
  2. Mid Game: This can be an awkward stage for Senna, especially if she had a passive early game, as you don’t quite have the items to be a proper carry, and you don’t quite have the tools in your kit to be a great utility support. Look to play safe and around the strong members of your team.
  3. Late Game: Senna really shines late game and should be looking to abuse her long range as much as possible. Against teams with a lot of engage options, it may be better to sit back and look for good counter engages with your ultimate.
