Sivir Build Guide

Sivir

Sivir

the Battle Mistress

Overview

Sivir is literally a press R and run at the enemy kind of champion. She’s often picked to support teams that need help engaging onto enemies, as her ultimate provides a great amount of move speed and gives your team a lot of confidence to try to make a play. She provides a lot of damage when the enemy is clustered and is a great pick as a late game carry. Keys to Remember About Sivir

  1. While it can be tempting to step into enemy abilities with your Spell Shield [E] to regain mana, it leaves Sivir very vulnerable to follow up attacks for a the window in which it is down. You want to hold onto it for as long as possible in late situations.

  2. Your ultimate is great at catching people off, so you'll need good map awareness and vision control to make the most out of Sivir -- people are always out of position in Solo Queue, so test your limits and press R!

Strengths

She has some of the best wave clear among all ADCs thanks to her Ricochet [W] and Boomerang Blade [Q]. This means you can keep any way pushed in if you want to, so she can often dictate the tempo once all of her abilities are online. Her ultimate On the Hunt [R] also brings great utility to team fights in the mid game when ADCs are typically still in the process of coming online. She’s great when you want to play a carry that screams at your team to start a fight.

Weaknesses

She has short range for an ADC and is immobile without her ultimate. If you’re able to catch her with it down, all you have to watch out for is her Spell Shield [E] before jumping in on her, as she doesn’t have reliable ways to dash out of danger. Her strength is generally dictated by how her numbers look when it comes to balancing -- since she has a very straightforward kit, it just kind of comes down to a numbers game. Even in-game, if she falls behind in terms of items, it’s going to be a rough climb back.

Game Plan

  1. Early Game: Play safe until all of your abilities come online, at which point you can look to constantly push the wave in. She pairs best with supports who have a lot of early lane dominance to be able to maximize her pushing capability.

  2. Mid Game: You can keep either mid or a side lane pushed in at all times and look for picks with your ultimate. Don’t be afraid to use it if you see a squishy enemy step too far out of place in the river or while rotating.

  3. Late Game: If your team is ahead, you can press R with impunity and just run at the enemy. Otherwise you’ll still want to press R but be more careful with it and way for an enemy to wander off to a side lane or a neutral camp -- look for numerical advantages!
