Zeri Build Guide

Zeri Build Guide

Overview

One of the most mobile champions in the game in team fights, Zeri is an ADC that has had her kit nerfed time and again thanks to its high potential. She was a menace almost immediately in pro play because of the ability to dart around fights and kill enemy champions without them being able to do much back to her. She’s a great pick for anyone looking for a more unconventional ADC playstyle but with the ADC late game potential. Keys to Remember About Zeri

  1. Just because you can dart around doesn't mean you need to -- Zeri is a champion that can sometimes unlock the monkey part of your brain that just wants to run around. The best Zeri players will be able to thread the aggression line well, but ultimately she is perfectly capable of playing front to back with her team.

  2. She has a lot of catch and dueling potential thanks to her E and W, and can generally be thought of as a playmaker champion. She's a champion that requires good mechanics and awareness, so be sure to stretch your fingers before locking in!

Strengths

She’s an extremely mobile champion that has potential to 1v5 enemy teams when placed in the hands of a mechanically gifted player. Most of the best professional ADC players, for example, will have highlight reel plays on her. In addition, she has a long range slow and the ability to vault over walls, which makes her strong at catching enemies out or for chasing them down in an extended fight.

Weaknesses

While she is mobile thanks to her movement speed and her ultimate, she’s actually lacking in a short range dash, which can make it hard for her to actually get away from enemies that are able to jump straight onto her. And even if you are able to kite backwards, Zeri’s kit is unique thanks to Living Battery [P] and Burst Fire [Q] making her playstyle very different from a traditional ADC, which can make her learning curve rather steep, especially when it comes to mastery.

Game Plan

  1. Early Game: Look for poke opportunities with Ultrashock Laser [W] -- you should focus on farming but Zeri has some good damage potential at this phase and should not be afraid to fight.

  2. Mid Game: Your mobility will be best served in mid lane, where you can quickly roam to support plays on either side of the map.

  3. Late Game: As a hyper carry, you need to be aware of which enemy abilities can lock you down. As long as you avoid those, you can hard carry the game from many positions.
