Overview
Skye is a powerful support agent who easily fulfills her role as an initiator thanks to the wide array of animal friends in her arsenal. She’s also one of the few agents in the game who can offer healing, and being an AoE heal for the team, there will be some situations in which she is incredibly valuable to your team. The multiple tools she has for scouting out enemy location combo well with her ability to flash them -- all of this makes her a powerful agent for any team still in need of an initiator.
Role: Initiator
Initiators can gain information on enemy position for your team and they can help flush enemies out of tight hiding spots.
On defense, their utility is used to gain information first and foremost, but they are also adept at supporting aggressive plays and retake scenarios.
On attack, their utility is used to clear tight angles and to make it harder for opponents to sit in expected defensive positions.
Tips and Tricks
Regrowth [C] is a great tool in lower economy rounds especially when enemies are less likely to be lethal with their shots.
You have a lot more time on your Trailblazer [Q] than you’d think, but make sure you take as much space as possible before you are forced to use it. It’s best combined with a teammate who can move up with it so you can get value on its concussive blast effect.
Guiding Light [E] can be tricky to use at first, but one simple trick to tracking it is to watch your minimap and guide it using that.
Guiding Light [E] reveals if an enemy is flashed, which means it also serves as a strong information gathering tool early. This can sometimes bait you into thinking an area is safe, though, if enemies are able to tuck away from the flash.
You’ll typically want to pair Guiding Light [E] with a fast duelist who can immediately peek a corner that the bird flashes. You can also pop the flash behind you or your teammates to give yourself an easy swing.
Seekers [X] is pretty straight forward as an ultimate. You just pop it and they run at your enemies -- it’s very powerful when used to initiate or when you are in rotation and have zero clue as to where enemies can be hiding.
