Keys to Remember About Twitch
He should be played more like an assassin than as a traditional front-to-back bot laner if you want to truly carry the game with him.
Because of the way he plays, you will die in a lot of fights, but you should still try to make plays with your Ambush [Q] and Spray and Pray [R] because you have the ability to control the outcome of the game.
Strengths
Between Ambush [Q] and Spray and Pray [R], Twitch is capable of finding easy angles to get big damage across the entire enemy team. If he’s able to catch them in a tight corridor or if your team can set up a good wombo combo, Twitch is one of the best at dishing out large AoE damage. Ambush alone is already a strong weapon in lane phase as Twitch can disappear from vision and then stealth back into his own lane to catch an opponent off guard. Once the ultimate is online, as long as you utilize the extra range to your advantage, it will be very hard for teams to consistently respond to you.
Weaknesses
If you mess up and get caught out of position after using Ambush, or if the enemy team is ready to deal with it, Twitch is a very low HP champion without any other form of mobility, which means he will be deleted the second someone looks at him. This means Twitch can be more reliant than other ADCs on having good vision control, as that is what’s going to allow him to utilize his abilities to the fullest. Twitch is also much more reliant on the window in which his ultimate is up, and if teams are able to bait it out of him before re-engaging, it’s going to leave his damage output much lower.
Game Plan
Early Game: Play safe and farm as much as you can, as you’ll need items to truly become an assassin, but you should use your stealth to your advantage to look for plays with your support. One good timing is when you’re coming back from lane if the enemy is overextended at your tower.
Mid Game: Even at just one or two completed items, you can look for good picks with your ultimate, especially onto squishy champions. You should constantly look for fights when your Spray and Pray [R] is online.
Late Game: If the enemy has a lot of easy CC to use on you, you should be more wary of playing off by yourself with Ambush [Q]. It only takes a moment’s misstep for you to kill someone, though, so always be ready to pop R and fight.
